Christmas in Cambridge

Christmas in Cambridge 2019 has already started with Cambridge’s first official event; the Christmas Lights Switch On. This special day brings the festive spirit to town year to year as well as covers the heart of Cambridge in Christmas Lights. But what else can you do in Cambs during the festive time of the year?

1. Christmas Carols on the River Join our boats and the Choir from St John, the Evangelist on Sunday, 15th December at 2pm. Organised together with the choir and the Traditional Punting Company, this year all ticket sales will be donated to EACH.

2. The North Pole Cambridge’s own mini Winter Wonderland opened last Saturday, where you can try all fantastic (and scary) rides as well as ice-skating and other activities. The North Pole is the perfect place to go for families with small children, students and can be entertaining even for adults.

3. Mill Road Winter Fair Held annually on the first Saturday of December, Mill Road Winter Fair is known from its special charm and atmosphere with over 10,000 people participating in different ways and enjoying all that the Mill Road area has to offer.

4. Christmas Markets Cambridgeshire offers several lovely Christmas Markets; such as Huntingdon Christmas Market or Cambourne Christmas Market.

5. Hot Chocolate at Cafe Foy… …or even some Mulled Wine! Believe us, Cafe Foy is the nicest and cosiest place to enjoy a lovely cup of hot drink.

To sum up, we hope this blog post gave you some inspiration to enjoy this beautiful time of the year.
