The majestic ‘college backs’ are awash with incredible architecture and steeped in history making them the perfect backdrop for a romantic date. Our romantic punting tours for 2 are available throughout the day although we suggest booking an evening slot for the best punting experience. The river is much quieter in the evenings making it the perfect time to enjoy a romantic punting experience with the one you love.

Tours last approximately 50 minutes and are return trips along the college backs.

Our delicious Deli Style picnic for two can be added to your booking alongside a chilled bottle of champagne or prosecco (please note we need at least 48 hours’ notice for these options).

Alternatively, you are very welcome to bring food & drinks on board and there are a number of Cafes and Restaurants on the Quayside where refreshments can be picked up before boarding.

Punting Proposals

Looking for something a little different for your proposal? Look no further: A chauffeured punting experience is the perfect option. We can arrange bouquets of Red Roses, Champagne, A delicious deli-style grazing board picnic, boxed chocolates or fresh cakes….

Along the college backs there is no shortage of impressive backdrops for your romantic marriage proposal. There’s the iconic Kings College Chapel, the formidable Wren Library, New Court St Johns which and the intricate Bridge of Sighs. What’s more it’s rumoured if you kiss under the Bridge of Sighs you will be blessed with everlasting love – perfect.

Know Before You Go

Tours are booked for a specific time. Late arrival will result in a missed or shortened tour.

You are welcome to bring food and drinks on board.

Tours booked online are paid for in full at the time of booking. If you would prefer to pay a 30% deposit with the balance due 2 weeks before the booking date please CONTACT US.

We do go ahead in poor weather. If requested by you we will aim to reschedule wherever possible. If you cancel due to poor weather you will be eligible for a 70% refund. More information can be found here: Terms & Conditions.

Experience Punting

Our private Cambridge Punting tours last for approximately 50 minutes and pass by 7 riverside colleges and famous landmarks including Kings College Chapel, The Bridge of Sighs, The Wren Library and The Mathematical Bridge. During the tour your chauffeur will provide an guided tour including historical facts and anecdotes about Cambridge University and the buildings you are passing. You are welcome to bring food and drinks on board but we ask you to please take any rubbish with you and dispose of it safely.
