All agreements are made between ‘you’ and Lets Go Punting

Payment

Payment can be made online or over the phone with a debit or credit card or bank via transfer.

Payment is taken in GBP.

For bookings made directly via the website full payment is taken at the time of booking.

For bookings secure via email/phone/invoice more than 2 weeks in advance, either full payment or a 30% deposit payment can be made to secure the booking. The balance payment is due 2 weeks before the booking date. For bookings less than 2 weeks in advance, full payment is taken to secure the booking.

Bookings

All bookings are subject to availability.

Lets Go Punting reserves the right to withdraw a product or package at any given time. In this case any outstanding bookings will be given the choice of an alternative product or equal or higher value or a full refund.

All direct bookings are for a specific departure time. Late arrival will result in a missed tour.

Third party bookings should contact the office to prebook a departure time. Arriving at the river without prebooking your departure time may result in a long wait time.

Access

Due to the historic nature of the river, there is limited disabled access. Despite this we aim to accommodate disabled customers wherever possible more information can be found in our accessibility statement. Please contact us to discuss the options further.

Cancellations

Bookings cancelled more than 48 hours in advance for Private Tours or 24 hours in advance for Shared Tours are eligible for:

  • 70% refund (If only a 30% deposit has been taken this will be retained)
  • A credit note for the full value of the punting booking valid for 12 months
  • A reschedule. If the rescheduling time/date is more expensive the difference will be due. If the new date is less expensive no refund will be made.

Private Bookings: Between 12 and 24 hours before the booking time you are not eligible for a refund but the booking can be rearranged for a moving fee of £15 per boat (plus the difference if the new time/date is more expensive). Bookings are non-refundable and non-amendable within 12 hours of your booking time.

Shared tours: Between 2 and 12 hours before the booking time you are not eligible for a refund but the booking can be rearranged for a moving fee of £15 per group (plus the difference if the new time/date is more expensive). Bookings are non-refundable and non-amendable within 2 hours of your booking time. 

Note all rearrangement times and dates are subject to availability.

Picnics/Drinks/Extras: Must be paid in full in advance and are non-refundable or exchangeable within 14 days of the booking date. 70% refund is available before this time frame.

Additional Services: Including (but not limited to) Walking Tours, Cocktail Making, Wine Tasting and Scavenger Hunts are non-refundable within one month of the booking date. 70% refund or reschedule if cancelling more than one month in advance.

Late Arrival

You will not be eligable for a refund if you miss your tour due to late arrival.

Private Tours: Your punt is reserved for a specific time late arrival will result in a missed or reduced tour time. If you arrive within 30 minutes of your booking time it will be possible for you to receive a shorter tour returning at your original scheduled time. Arriving more than 30 minutes after your booking time will result in a missed tour.  If you know you will be late please contact Lets Go Punting as soon as possible to let us know.

Shared Tours: Late arrival will result in a missed tour and you will need to rebook to come punting.

Non-Appearance

If you fail to show up for your tour without letting us know you will not be eligible for a  refund or reschedule

Behaviour

If you or anyone in your party arrives intoxicated our staff reserve the right to refuse for you to board. This is for the safety of yourself, other customers and our staff. If you or anyone in your party is aggressive or intimidating to any of our staff or customers we reserve the right to refuse for you to board.

Alcohol sales

We operate Challenge 25 policy for our alcohol sales in accordance with the Licencing Act 2003. Please ensure you bring a valid ID if you look under 25 years of age. Valid forms of ID are Passport, Driving Licence and PASS ID.

Alcohol sales are limited to one bottle of wine per 2 adults or 3 x beers, ciders, spirit & mixers.

Bad Weather

We offer an outdoor service operating year-round and our tours operate in all weathers as long as conditions are safe for our customers and staff.

If conditions are unsafe and our operations are cancelled we will contact you and you will be offered a full refund or reschedule. Our decision is final as to what constitutes dangerous conditions but includes excessively low or high temperatures, strong river flow, overhead lightning storms and gale force winds.

If you want to cancel or reschedule your booking due to the forecast weather our standard cancellation terms and conditions apply – see above.

Safeguarding

All under 16’s must be accompanied by a parent or adult in the role of “loco parentis” to go out on a river tour with us.

Delivery

Online booking confirmation constitutes your ‘ticket’. Please print out your booking confirmation or be able to show it on a smart phone or tablet at our check in desk. Gift vouchers will be emailed. Any purchases made by bank transfer or phone will be emailed a confirmation ‘ticket’. Confirmation can be send via post where specifically requested. In the case of lost confirmations/tickets these can be-reissued in advance of the tour date.
