All agreements are made between ‘you’ and Lets Go Punting

Payment

Payment taken online or over the phone with debit or credit card  or bank transfer.

Payment is taken in GBP. For booking more than 2 weeks in advance either full payment or a 30% deposit payment can be made to secure the booking. The balance payment is due 2 weeks before the booking date. For bookings less than 2 weeks in advance full payment is taken to secure the booking.

Bookings

All bookings are subject to availability.

Lets Go Punting reserves the right to withdraw a product or package at any given time. In this case any outstanding bookings will be given the choice of an alternative product or equal or higher value or a full refund.

All direct bookings are for a specific departure time. Late arrival will result in a missed tour.

Third party bookings should contact the office to prebook a departure time. Arriving at the river without prebooking your departure time may result in a long wait time.

Covid-19

It is the customers’ responsibility to ensure that their group meets any restrictions set out by the government.

Access

Due to the historic nature of the river there is limited disabled access. Despite this we aim to accommodate disabled customers wherever possible. Please contact us to discuss the options further.

Cancellations

Private Punting: Bookings cancelled more than 48 hours in advance are eligible for a 70% refund or can be rescheduled within the next 6 months. If the rescheduling date is more expensive the difference will need to be paid. If the new date is less expensive no refund will be made.

If only a 30% deposit has been taken this will be retained.

Bookings cancelled within 48 hours will not be refunded but can be rearranged for a fee of £15 plus (plus the difference if the new time/date is more expensive) up to 24 hours before departure.

Shared tours: Shared tours are booked for a specific time and date. If you are unable to attend on the date/time booked and give us at least 24 hours’ notice we can exchange your tickets for another date. (Charges will apply if a more expensive date/time is selected, no refund will be due if the new time and date is less expensive).

Picnics/Drinks/Extras: Must be paid in full in advance and are non-refundable or exchangeable within 14 days of the booking date. 70% refund available before this time frame.

Additional Services: Including (but not limited to) Walking Tours, Cocktail Making, Wine Tasting and Scavenger Hunts are non-refundable within one month of the booking date. 70% refund or reschedule if cancelling more that one month in advance.

COVID-19 – If anyone in your party receives a positive COVID-19 test result you are eligible for a full refund or reschedule (if the new time & date is more expensive then the difference will be due) as long as you meet the following criteria:

  1. You must alert us by 9 am on the day of your booking.
  2. You must provide proof of a positive PCR test result or positive LFT result which has been uploaded to the NHS website.

Late Arrival

You will not be eligable for a refund if you miss your tour due to late arrival.

Private Tours: Your punt is reserved for a specific time late arrival will result in a missed or reduced tour time. If you know you will be late please contact Lets Go Punting as soon as possible to let us know.

Shared Tours: Late arrival will result in a missed tour.

COVID-19 – As all tour times are prebooked late arrival will result in a missed tour. If you are unable to make your tour due to a positive COVID-19 test result ensure you have contacted us by 9am on the day of your tour.

Non-Appearance

If you fail to show up for your tour without letting us know no refund or rescheduling will be applicable.

Behaviour

If you or anyone in your party arrives intoxicated our staff reserve the right to refuse for you to board for the safety of yourself, other cusotmers and our staff. If you or anyone in your party is agressive or imtimidating to any of our staff or cusotmers we reserve the right to refuse for you to board.

Alcohol sales

We operate Challenge 25 policy for our alcohol sales in accordance with the Licencing Act 2003. Please ensure you bring a valid ID if you look under 25 years of age. Valid forms of ID are Passport, Driving Licence and PASS ID.

Alcohol sales are limited to one bottle of wine per 2 adults or 3 x beers, ciders, spirit & mixers.

Bad Weather

You cancel with at least 48 hours notice: Reschedule or refund minus a 30% non refundable deposit. Food/drinks/extras; No refund. You will be able to collect these extras and take them away with you. .

You cancel without providing notice or do not contact us: Payment is retained. If you wish to reschedule an additional 30% will need to be paid.

We cancel: Full refund for your punting tour. Food/drinks/extras: No refund. You will be able to collect these extras and take them away with you.

Safeguarding

All under 16’s must be accompanied by a parent or adult in the role of “loco parentis” to go out on a river tour with us.

Delivery

Online booking confirmation constitutes your ‘ticket’. Please print out your booking confirmation or be able to show it on a smart phone or tablet at our check in desk. Gift vouchers will be emailed. Any purchases made by bank transfer or phone will be emailed a confirmation ‘ticket’. Confirmation can be send via post where specifically requested. In the case of lost confirmations/tickets these can be-reissued in advance of the tour date.
