Christmas Carols on the River
We are delighted that the Choir from St John the Evangelist are joining us on the river again this year.
Let’s Go Punting, in collaboration with the Traditional Punting Company, is now taking bookings for our Annual Charity Christmas Carol event, Christmas Carols on the River. In 2025, we raised money to support Cambridge Little Miracles.
The choir of St John the Evangelist Church will be singing everyone’s favourite Christmas Carols whilst gliding along the River Cam on a Chauffeured Punt at 2.15 pm on Sunday, the 7th of December 2025.

A Magical Evening on the College Backs
Not to be missed – Our annual charity christmas punting event is back for its sixth year! Join us whilst we glide along the river Cam listening to the stunning St Johns the Evangelist Choir singing Christmas Carols – what could be more festive?
Get yourself into the christmas spirit with our Christmas Carols on the river, the punting tour will last for approxiamtely one hour along the college backs in Cambridge. During the tour you will be entertained with traditional Christmas Carols, incuding some well known tunes all beautifuly sung by this fantastic choir.

Little Miracles, Cambridge
Christmas is a time for love, joy, and, most importantly, supporting those in need. That’s why we host this event each year, with all proceeds going directly to our chosen charity. This year we have selected Little Miracles Cambridge.
The Little Miracles Charity Cambridge branch offers regular social activities—such as cinema trips, botanical garden visits and soft-play sessions—for families of children with additional needs, disabilities or life-limiting conditions.
Know Before You Go
Tours are booked for a specific time. Late arrival will result in a missed tour. We will be departing at 2.15pm
You will receive a text message 5 minutes before your departure time – please come to our meeting point when you receive this message.
You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks on board. Please ensure you take all rubbish with you.

Carols For a Good Cause
2025 will be our 7th year of running Carols on the River with the incredible St John the Evangelist Choir.
In 2018 we raised an incredible £572 for Amnesty International and in 2019 we raised an impressive £553 for EACH. After a break in 2020 due to COVID, we came back stronger and raised a fantastic £770 for Blue Smile in 2021 and £830 for Cambridge Aid in 2022. In 2023, we raised £1,200 for Tom’s Trust. In 2024, we raised £1,420 for Cambridge Community Foundation. 2025 saw us raise £1370 for Little Miracles in Cambridge.
In addition, each year, we make a donation to the amazing St John the Evangelist Church Choir, which they use to support causes they are working with.
