Punting in Cambridge this Easter
This Easter, join us on the river for a 50 minute chauffeured punt tour with the family.
Book a private or shared 50-minute punting tour along the college backs and add our Easter themed scavenger hunt & activity booklets, priced at just £2.50 per child, to your punting tour.
The Easter activity section of the booklet is designed to be completed on the river and includes an Easter themed spot the difference, dot-to-dot, maze & spot the eggs. Once you have completed the activities you can crack the code and claim your prize (attached to your booklet to award to your little ones once complete).
After your punting tour take to the city centre to complete the second half of the booklet. Enjoy a walk through Cambridge’s city centre solving the clues and looking our for easter eggs along the way.
Easter Scavenger Hunt & Activity booklets are available as an Add-On once you have selected your punting tour. The option will only appear if you are booking between the 30th of March and the 10th of April. Please select the number of booklets you would like to purchase. We recommend booking one booklet per child so they can each complete all of the on-board activites and receive their sweet treat.
On the day of your punting tour your booklets and pens will be waiting for you at the river. Don’t forget to collect your booklet(s) before boarding the punting tour.
The scavenger hunt can be completed before or after your punting tour – the map takes you on a walk through Cambridge’s city centre starting at the punting departure point.
Our booklet has been designed for children ages 4-10 (although both older and younger children may enjoy joining in). The punting activites have been specifically tailored to appeal to younger children and the city centre scavenger hunt is aimed at older children.

All you need to know before you punt
Punting is extremely safe, and life jackets are not required to be worn. If you have a small child and would still like to have a life jacket, we have a limited supply of children’s life jackets available in the following sizes: under 15 kg, 15-30kg, and 30-45kg.
If you require a life jacket, please contact us in advance of making a booking with us so we can ensure we have a life jacket available for you.
Please note we do not have life jackets available for larger group bookings.
Punting is an incredibly safe activity and children of all ages are welcome on our punting tours. That being said, we usually advise parents/carers with young children to position the children in the middle of the punts and make sure they are not putting their hands on or over the edge of the punt. The punts are very stable and will not tip over. We have a limited number of children’s life jackets available. Please contact us in advance if you will require children’s life jackets so we can ensure they are available for you.
Prams and buggies can be left at our punting station whilst you enjoy your tour with us. A member of our team is often on hand to monitor, though leaving personal items is at your own risk. We advise that valuables are brought on board with you for the tour itself.
If your pram or buggy can be folded, there may be space to bring them on the boat itself. Please ensure that you arrive on time for your punting tour so that these options can be explored.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you are going to be late.
Shared tours can be held for a maximum of 5 minutes. If you are more than 5 minutes late you will miss your departure and will need to repay to book onto a later tour (subject to availability).
If you arrive within 25 minutes of your private punting departure time we can still get you out on the river for a shorter tour time. Please note the boats will need to be back in time to be ready for the next scheduled departure. Some sights may be missed out of the tour as a result.
If we are given a minimum of 2 hours’ notice, we can move your tour to another time slot, subject to a moving fee and dependent upon availability.
