Things to do in Cambridge this Winter

As we’ve been walking around the city centre today, we relaized that the Christmas tree in front of the Grafton Centre is already set up. This gave us the idea to collect the Top 5 Winter Activities in Cambridge this year.

1. The Big Switch On

The Big Christmas Lights Switch On will take place this year on Sunday 18th November from midday. Christmas entertainment will take place from local schools, performing arts groups, choirs and singers. This year, Cambridge born Jonnie Peacock MBE will be helping us switch on the Christmas lights.

2. Mill Road Winter Fair

A fun-filled event with Christmas music, dancing and great deals from local businesses will take place on Mill Road the first Saturday of December (1st December this year), from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

3. The North Pole in Parkers Piece

Only 2 days left until Cambridge’s little Winter Wonderland, The North Pole in Parkers Piece opens! Get ready for mulled wine, ice skating, crepes and fun rides!

4. Cambridge Market
Don’t forget to visit the Market during your Christmas shopping for special hand made gifts and for some amazing street food. 

5. Punting
Warm blankets, hot chocolate, beautiful scenery… and a special winter event coming soon by Let’s Go Punting, which you’re gonna love. Keep an eye on our website!
