This is How We Celebrated the Enchanting May Ball Fireworks

Being loyal to their traditions, Cambridge University students celebrated the end of their academic year with making cardboard boats sink on Jesus Green, taking a dip in the River Cam, and finally, with letting down their hair for the all-night May Ball.

May Ball gives colour to the brightest city of England in many aspects – and I am not only talking about the glamorous outfits. It is the official beginning of the summer in town, when the big thinkers of the University are finally freed from all devoirs and responsibilities and are allowed to frolic around the historical streets of Cambridge.

May Ball is a big event for us, punting people as well; watching the enchanting fireworks from the boats is simply glamorous. It is definitely the perfect romantic date for couples or the right occasion for the families and friends to get together for a punt tour and pop a bottle of Prosecco.
Of course, we couldn’t miss the party this year either! Our punt chauffeurs enjoyed the spectacles just as much as our guests, and recorded a short video we’ve posted on YouTube.

This is how the Fireworks looked like from our boats:

Punting is fun every single day of the year, but summer nights are definitely the best for a tour! Book your discounted Early Bird / Night Owl Tour here!
