Cambridge’s first ever organised punt race happened on Friday, 2nd August, where 20 of the River Cam’s best Punt Chauffeurs took part to find the answer for the most mysterious question ever asked: who is the best punter of the Universe? The boys pushed a mile starting from Jesus Green to Clare Bridge and back to Magdalene Bridge, where the King of the River was announced. The winner won a magnum champagne, a small cash prize and the coolest of all; a golden waistcoat. Wondering who won The Punt Race 2019? Click here to find out! 
It was a fantastic experience to watch all the Tour Guides competing and the crowd cheering. We would like to say as huge thank you for the guys working on the river for organising this great evening – we enjoyed every single minute of it. Here’s to next year’s race!
