New Year, New Opportunities
With 2020 slowly coming to an end, it is time to look forward to the new opportunities that 2021 will bring to Cambridge and the world. It is time to say goodbye to 2020 and be hopeful that 2021 a better one globally,
On a personal level Planning, a New Year’s Resolutions list is a great way to reflect on the year gone by and how you can make improvements to your life or those around you
As a small independent business, 2020 hit us hard with forced closures, adapting to become COVID secure and daily uncertainty like never before. However, we are still glad to have made the most out of what this year had to offer.
When back in March everything was uncertain, we drafted a plan for our business and perhaps sticking to those goals was key to the year we have had as a business. From handcrafting ppe and perspex screens to install between rows on our punts to training our staff and me to follow government guidelines.
Let’s Go Punting New Year’s Resolutions
Individual resolutions tend to be almost instinctive, it seems natural to set some new goals for the ‘new year’ yourself. From exercising more to being more mindful, increasing positive communication, living a more organized and healthy life, travelling more, to getting involved in new stress-relieving activities.
Whereas personal resolutions are a great asset to each of us, corporate goals seem to be a great shoutout for the next year. Therefore, we have listed a number of goals for us, Let’s Go Punting!
- Launch more available languages in our Cambridge Tours audio app. This app was launched in 2020 and it is currently available in English, Mandarin and Cantonese to accompany your punting tour in Cambridge.
- Bring back our popular sunset time Music on the River evenings. The perfect activity for families with children, romantic couples, friends and all of those who love music and who are brave enough to sing along with the musician on board.
- Partner up with charities throughout the next year. Such as on our Christmas Carols on the River events, a moment to celebrate the festive season by singing along the choir of St. John the Evangelist. This event has been running for two years and it was postponed for this current year. However, we look forward to bringing it back from 2021, still reverting all ticket sales to charity.
The Let’s Go Punting Team Wishes you a Happy New Year!
We have found these corporate resolutions list very helpful and would like to suggest you do the same if you own or run a small or independent business. Start by setting a small list of achievable goals and go further where possible. Remember that it feels better to tick resolutions out of the list than look back at all the things you haven’t managed to accomplish.
Here at Let’s Go Punting, we would like to wish you a great and prosperous new year! May it be all you’ve wished for your business, as well as for yourselves. We look forward to welcoming you on board again soon.
