Let’s talk about: Christmas Carols on the River 2019

It’s only a month left ’till our annual Christmas Carol Charity event; Christmas Carols on the River 2019, organised by us (Let’s Go Punting), with the Traditional Punting Company and the Choir from St John, the Evangelist.

This year, the event is in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH). We are super-excited about hosting this festive event, as –  touch wood – our fundraising efforts have been incredibly successful in the past year.

About Last Year

Last Christmas, our Christmas Carols on the River event raised £572 for Christian Aid and we also donated £120 to the church of St John, the Evangelist, as thanks to their amazing choir. Recently, on the 2nd of November, we raised the unbelievable amount of  £811 for BBC Children in Need by hosting a 12 hour Punt-A-Thon. At Let’s Go Punting, we are proud to support some amazing causes throughout the year with our sponsored events.

Last Christmas

The weather was not entirely kind to us last year (it was absolutely bucketing it down). However, we still had a great turn out. Guests enjoyed 50-minutes of festive fun on-board, with the choir singing (without umbrellas) creating an absolutely fantastic atmosphere for all.

This Year

Although last year was fun, this year, we are hoping for better weather and more joy! The tour will last approximately one hour. During the tour,18 member of the St John The Evangelist Choir will enchant everyone. Our choice of charity for 2019 is EACH. EACH is an organisation helping children and young people with life-threatening conditions. They work across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk, and Suffolk. As always with our charity events, 100% of ticket sales will be donated.
