We are delighted to announce that Music on the River is about to rock the Cam this summer – four magical events on the punts showcasing five talented musicians and of course, the beauty of the College Backs.
Live Music on the Cam
Cambridge is well-known from it’s fantastic musical events – live music takes place at many local venues including Cambridge Junction, The Corn Exchange, and pubs such as The Portland’s Arms or The Corner House. Music also holds a key role when it comes to outdoor events in town, such as the Strawberry Fair, Cambridge Folk Festival or The Big Weekend…
And here comes our genius idea; Music on the River! Punting is a must-do and a number one activity in town. The acoustics of the Cam are just perfect and the scenery is spectacular. In addition, thanks to The Punt & Pole, this year, our guests can enjoy a chilled glass of Prosecco, Beer, Wine, G & T or some soft drinks on board – they are offering our customers a generous 20% off drinks on the night. Live music, breathtaking view, nature and a cold drink in your hand on a stunning summer evening… what else do you need on a summer night?
Music on the River is the perfect activity for families with children, romantic couples, friends and for all of those who love music and who are brave enough to sing along with the musician on board.
What type of music will be played and when are the events going to take place?
Music on the River will take place on 19 July, 9 August, 23 August and 30 August 2019 (all Fridays).
