Let’s Go Punting – Visit England Assessment 2019

Following our success last year, Let’s Go Punting has been assessed and has qualified for a ‘Visit England Quality Assured Tour Certificate’ again this year! We’re very pleased with our score – even better than we did last year.

Our Visit England Assessor mentioned our strengths and improvements since last year. The report highlighted the best points including the excellent customer service we provide at Let’s Go Punting.

 

The highlights of their Visit England Assessment 2019 included:

  • Our excellent Chauffeur and his high quality interaction with passengers. Excellent customer care was demonstrated by him at all times during the trip.
  • The smooth punt along the river with an entertaining, informed and content-rich commentary.

 

Pre-arrival:
As always, our website and Social Media Platforms have been investigated which all turned out to be excellent. Our Assessor mentioned that our website is well-built and that we have a reasonable number of followers and constantly update posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Our Instagram account has some fabulous images and is engaging extremely well with followers, including excellent use of the hashtag #letsgopunting.

Arrival:
According to Visit England, the directions on our website were very useful and made it extremely easy to reach our check-in desk on the Quayside. Our staff were welcoming and our sales desk is very good with the smart livery conveying a professional image. Our Assessor’s tour time was verbally provided with the next tour offered departing within 5 minutes of my arrival – sweet and accurate!

Tour:
The tour was leaving on time efficiently organised by our Tour Guide. Once our costumers were welcomed on board, safety instructions, the length and the route of the tour were given. The seats were comfortable in the punt and cushions were provided as well as blankets. There was enough space for all the passengers in the punt. The commentary was engaging, entertaining and informative being pitched extremely well to the audience and with questions encouraged and answered well. Keeping to the tour time of 50 minutes passengers were assisted with disembarking and notably all visitors mentioning how enjoyable the tour had been.

Cleanliness:
The cleanliness of our punts and the waiting area was very good, no litter from previous guests has been found.

Staff:
Both the female and the male Assistants at the sales desk were friendly and knowledgeable as well as helpful. The Chauffeur collected the assembled passengers for the tour and walked them all to the embarkation point was friendly and engaging, making good conversation on the way. The Tour Guide was welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and engaging throughout the entire tour.
