Let’s Go Team in Quarantine

Team in Quarantine

During these challenging times, where the world is in quarantine, we have made use of this pause to prepare our team and ensure our business is great to set sail once we are ready to start punting again. We believe that by keeping in touch with our staff in a virtual way we are continuing the amazing team spirit we have within Let’s Go Punting – we believe our team stays stronger together.

Our staff are strictly following the lockdown procedures. As most have been furloughed they are mostly following the ‘stay at home’ mantra . We have a few staff members who are now keeping busy as front line workers either at supermarkets or as part of delivery teams, to support the rest of us. And we couldn’t be any prouder of the members of our team, keeping Cambridge going during these quarantine days.

Team Challenges

Alongside with the Traditional Punting Company, we have had the most fun watching our staff members having fun together whilst apart. Firstly, our team joined the ‘Toilet Paper Challenge’: that famous challenge launched by famous football players where they show off their kicking skills juggling a toilet roll inside their house.

Followed by the ‘Run For Heroes’ challenge, the first member four team to take part was our fantastic Manager, who started by running 5km, donating £5 to NHS Run for Heroes fund and nominating 5 more of us to do the same. We’ve managed to spread this challenge throughout a few members of the team and are very proud to take part in such an incredible initiative, fundraising money for the NHS Charities. By the way, if you haven’t got involved yet, please feel nominated by us and go for a run, share it tagging us on social media, following up with a donation through Virgin money giving website.

Last and not least, one our team came up with the brilliant idea of creating a punting challenge – each of us improvising how to ‘punt at home’. See the hilarious results below. Can you tell we re all missing punting and looking forward to when it is safe again and we can welcome our lovely customers on to our boats.

We will meet again!

Hopefully, this blog post has inspired you to be creative and supportive of good causes throughout these unknown and tough days. If you want to join our punting challenge feel free to send us your most original idea and we will share it along with our social media platforms.

Stay Safe!
