This exclusive event celebrates the quality, character, and craftsmanship of British vineyards and cheesemakers.

Hosted in partnership with Grape Britannia, this unique Cambridge experience has been designed to showcase some of the finest wines currently being produced across Britain.

Combining traditional Cambridge punting with expertly selected wine and cheese pairings, guests will enjoy a relaxed evening on the River Cam whilst learning more about each wine, its vineyard, and the carefully chosen cheese pairing.

During the tour, guests will enjoy three separate British wines, each paired with a complementary British cheese and served alongside crackers, in their own container. Grape Britannia will guide the tasting throughout the experience, introducing each pairing and the stories behind the wines.

How long is the Wine & Cheese Tasting on the River Cam?

The experience lasts approximately 90 minutes and departs at 7:00pm.

What is included in the ticket price?

Your ticket includes a 90-minute chauffeured punt tour, three British wine tastings, three British cheese pairings with crackers, and a bottle of water.

Is this a shared or private tour?

This is a shared wine and cheese tasting experience.

Do I need any wine tasting experience?

Not at all. Whether you’re completely new to wine or a seasoned enthusiast, the tasting is designed to be enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

What happens if it rains?

The event will proceed in poor weather conditions unless it is deemed unsafe to operate.

Can dietary requirements be accommodated?

Please contact us before booking if you have any allergies or dietary requirements. Due to the specific nature of the pairings, substitutions may not always be possible.

Is the event suitable for under 18s?

No. All guests must be aged 18 or over, and we operate a Challenge 25 policy.

The tour departs from –Landing Stage, Thompsons Ln, Cambridge CB5 8AG.

All guests must be aged 18 or over. We operate a Challenge 25 policy, so please bring valid photo ID if you are lucky enough to look under 25.

If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, these must be communicated to us in advance of the event. Due to the specific nature of the wine and cheese pairings, alterations and substitutions may not always be possible.

All wines and cheeses are pre-selected as part of the tasting experience.

The event will proceed in poor weather conditions unless it is deemed unsafe to operate. As a result, tickets for this event are non-refundable.

Spaces are limited and advance booking is essential.

Due to social distancing guideline and minimising cross contamination we have made the following changes:

Life Jackets and Umbrellas are temporarily unavailable. You are very welcome to bring your own.
We are unable to allow any customers the opportunity to have a go at punting.
Our rugs covering the cushions have been replaced with a wipe clean material.
