Like every summer, this season was an extremely exciting period of time filled with wonderful surprises, new adventures and warm, golden sunshine. In this blog post, we collected the most memorable highlights of summer 2019.

1. 30th May – Skydiving
What a great start of the season! We surprised our top Chauffeurs, Kieran and Dane with the most unique gift ever… click here for video!

2. 1st June – Instagram Frames
We had a lot of fun during the summer taking photos of punting people posing with our IG frames. Hen parties definitely loved it!

3. 8th June – Cambridge Pride
Cambridge’s first-ever Pride took place this summer where we celebrated love and equality. Love is love!

4. 9th June – Singing on the River
Singing on the River takes place annually and is one of the most beautiful experiences on the Riverside (and it’s free). This year, we listened to the Choir of Trinity College singing a delightful programme of choral music on punts at Trinity backs.

5. The Swan Family
The Swan Family has definitely won many people’s hearts as well as the title of ‘the cutest family of the year’. We saw these little guys growing and growing every single day of the summer.

6. 16th June – The Cardboard Boat Race
Another year, another Cardboard Boat Race. It is always fun to watch Cambridge Students sink their special, uniquely-styled cardboard boats at the end of their academic year.

7. 19th June – May Ball
The Fireworks Spectacular is our favourite event of the year and is the best to watch from our boats. Click here to watch May Ball 2019!

8. 29th June – Foodies Festival
Foodies Festival was first organised in Cambridge this year and was an absolute success! We particularly enjoyed the Prosecco, Paella and Churros.

9. 16th July – Celebs Go Dating
We welcomed a filming crew as well as Singer-songwriter Lee Ryan and Geordie Shore’s star Nathan Henry while filming an exciting episode of Celebs Go Dating. You can watch the full episode here.

10. 2nd August – The Punt Race
Cambridge’s first Punt Race finally gave an answer to the most mysterious question on Earth; who is the best Punter of the Universe? Click here to find out!

11. 9th August – Music on the River with Max Bianco
Max Bianco is a fantastic Singer-songwriter and he’s got some awesome fans! We now can say we had people dying their hair purple on our punts… how many other punting companies can say that? 😀 Click here to watch the video!

12. 23rd August – Music on the River with Ukulele Simon
Simon has a colourful personality with a great sense of humour and amazing voice – it was great to have him singing on the punts. Weather was beautiful and everybody had lots of fun. Click here to watch the video!

Tours begin and end at our central landing stage on the corner of Jesus Green, with regular departures throughout the day, making it easy to fit into your school schedule.
