CHARITY EVENT

The fair is organised and run by local volunteers and is a charity event. Every year the Daffodil Weekend raises money for local charities or community projects and they pride themselves in having raised over half a million pounds in the last 51 years. Due to the event being cancelled 3 weeks before it was scheduled in 2020, the organisers have decided to pick up where they left off and so the charities receiving this year’s donations are the same as the ones that should have received the donations in 2020 – The Royal Hospital Papworth Charity and The East Anglian Air Ambulance.

THE ROYAL PAPWORTH HOSPITAL CHARITY

The Royal Papworth Hospital Charity was established to help support the hospital and raise money for their treatments and research. If the Royal Papworth Hospital Charity is a cause that you would like to support, then you can either donate, volunteer, or even set up a fundraiser of your own!

THE EAST ANGLIAN AIR AMBULANCE

The East Anglian Air Ambulance are a brilliant cause and they provide a vital response service that has saved countless lives. They are the first air ambulance service in the East of England to begin to fly 24/7. There used to be a 5 and a half hour gap between 1.30am and 7am, where there were no emergency air ambulances available due to lack of funding. But now, due to charitable donations and also their own fundraisers, the air ambulance can now staff their helicopters 24/7.
